Breaking the Silence: Stress & Urge Incontinence – You’re Not Alone
Incontinence is something no one wants to talk about, yet so many women experience it. Whether it’s a sudden, unexpected urge to go or an embarrassing leak after a sneeze, these challenges can impact daily life, confidence, and overall well-being. Many women struggle silently, unsure of where to turn—especially when discussing it with a younger, male doctor feels intimidating. At Sarasota Wellness and Concierge Medicine, we want you to know you’re not alone, and you don’t have to live with it. We are here to help with effective, in-office solutions tailored to your needs.
Understanding Incontinence: Why It Happens & What You Can Do
There are two primary types of incontinence:
✔ Stress incontinence occurs when pressure from laughing, sneezing, or exercising causes bladder leakage due to weakened pelvic floor muscles.
✔ Urge incontinence (also called overactive bladder) is the sudden, uncontrollable need to urinate, often caused by nerve signals misfiring between the brain and bladder.
While traditional treatments include pelvic floor therapy, lifestyle modifications, and medication, we are excited to introduce an innovative new option that provides results without the hassle of Kegels or frequent trips to a physical therapist.
Why Hormone Therapy Alone Isn’t Enough
While hormone replacement therapy (HRT)—especially estradiol—can help improve tissue integrity, elasticity, and blood flow, it does not directly strengthen the muscles and structural support necessary for bladder control. Estrogen acts as a growth factor, enhancing tissue quality, but without proper muscle tone, leakage can still occur.
This is why a multifaceted approach is essential, combining:
✅ Collagen & Tissue Regeneration (via radiofrequency treatments like FormaV)
✅ Pelvic Floor Strengthening (using physical therapy or stimulation therapy like Vtone)
✅ Lifestyle Adjustments (nutrition, weight management)
At Sarasota Wellness, we offer advanced solutions that go beyond hormone therapy, targeting both tissue health and muscle strength—without the frustration of doing endless Kegels or spending hours at pelvic floor PT.
Introducing Empower by InMode: A Revolutionary Solution
We are thrilled to offer the Empower by InMode system at Sarasota Wellness! This cutting-edge medical device provides two specialized treatments:
🔹 FormaV – A non-invasive, radiofrequency treatment that gently stimulates collagen production to improve vaginal laxity, sensation, and overall tissue health. This can be particularly beneficial for women experiencing postpartum or menopausal sensation and tissue changes.
🔹 Vtone – A novel treatment for stress incontinence, Vtone uses electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) to strengthen the pelvic floor muscles without the need for tedious Kegel exercises or time-consuming PT visits. You can comfortably do the equivalent of 30,000 Kegels privately in the office during a 30 minute treatment.
Both treatments are performed in-office by our experienced providers, Victoria and Savanah, ensuring a comfortable and personalized experience.
Exclusive Concierge Member Benefits!
As a Sarasota Wellness Concierge Member, you receive an exclusive discount on all FormaV and Vtone treatments.

What’s Growing in Dr. Asi’s Garden?
Florida’s winter and spring offer the perfect conditions for a thriving garden, and Dr. Asi is making the most of the season! His garden is overflowing with vibrant greens, packed with crunch and micronutrients—an array of crisp lettuces, kohlrabi, and even the unique Caribbean rosehip. This time of year also marks the first harvest of Everglades tomatoes, a resilient and flavorful variety perfect for Florida’s climate.
Gardening isn’t just about fresh produce—it’s a way to connect with the earth, slow down, and ensure your food is as fresh, safe, and nutrient-dense as possible. At Sarasota Wellness, we believe food is medicine, and there’s no better way to fuel your body than with whole, homegrown nutrition.
