Dr. Mullen has experience as an NCAA athlete and statistician, which has fueled his analytical approach to life and wellness. He completed an accelerated BS/MD combined degree at the University of South Florida and Morsani College of Medicine. He graduated in the top 5% of his class and he was inducted into both the AOA National Honor Society and the Gold Humanism Honor Society. Dr. Mullen continued to refine his approach to patient care during his six years in North Carolina, where he completed his Family Medicine residency at the top-ranked University of North Carolina. He also became a board-certified Obesity Medicine Provider and gained experience in medical education as an Adjunct Professor.
With an overall 4.9-star rating from over 300 patient reviews, Dr. Mullen is widely recognized for his compassionate and knowledgeable approach. His patients often praise him for taking the time to truly listen and understand their needs, and for providing care that is both personalized and effective saying “The amount of time and feeling of unrushed attention Dr. Mullen provided was just amazing. He's knowledgeable in many different areas and gave me concrete suggestions to improve my health”, “Excellent Doctor. Places the direction of the discussion in the patients hands to get a holistic view of health. I would highly recommend” and “Dr Mullen takes great care in talking with us through any questions and all the details we need. I never feel rushed and he is great with data and making things easily digestible”.

The Evolution of Sarasota Wellness and Concierge Medicine
Sarasota Wellness and Concierge Medicine traces its origins to the practice of Dr. Sheri Weinstein, who founded her concierge medical practice in 2006. The opportunity arose for Drs. Zyad Asi and Patrick Mullen to bring their shared vision for healthcare to life. The two met over a decade ago during medical school, where they bonded over their shared passion for reimagining medicine. Their discussions often revolved around creating a practice that prioritized relationships, preventive care, and innovative solutions to the inefficiencies in traditional healthcare.
Building on the legacy of Dr. Weinstein’s practice, Dr. Asi took the reins, joined shortly after by Dr. Mullen and his wife, Savanah, a physician assistant specializing in aesthetics. Together, they transformed Sarasota Wellness and Concierge Medicine into a modern hub for evidence based and personalized care. With a focus on concierge medicine, sports and athletic health, wellness optimization, weight loss, travel medicine, and hormone replacement therapy, the practice now bridges the best of tradition and innovation to serve patients at every stage of life.

Concierge medicine is a membership-based healthcare model where patients pay an annual fee in exchange for enhanced access to their physician.
